ABOUT ABOUT

In Concert March 18, 2017

George literally grew up along with rock & roll, and he has been performing as a singer and guitarist for more than 50 years. From 1965-1970, he had a 4-piece combo which played in the New York metro area as a backup band for the Drifters, the Coasters, the Isley Brothers, the Dovells, Little Eva, the Dixie Cups, and many other vocal groups from the late 50's and early 60's.

From 1970-1985, George performed primarily as a single artist, playing mostly for fund-raising events sponsored by organizations - Elks clubs, fire departments, ambulance corps, etc. - throughout northern New Jersey and southeastern New York.

Since 1985, he has concentrated on studio work and arranging, but continues to perform several times a year, including benefits for organizations like the Wounded Warrior Project and the Fraternal Order of Police, both locally and as far afield as Florida and St Louis.

George has played for 50's and 60's "oldies" nights, dances, cocktail parties, dinners, and music festivals. His wide-ranging repertoire of more than 500 songs spans various genres and 60 years of popular music.
